A bit about me.
Christine Zimmerman
Lafayette, CA born and raised! My love for flowers stems from my connection with nature. Being outdoors is my favorite way to spend time, whether it's camping in the Sierras, hiking the Rim Trail at the Reservoir, or simply sitting outside. As a child, I would create wildflower bouquets for my mom, who graciously accepted them with a smile. Flowers help form many smiles!
Flowers can lift your mood and calm your nerves! When I got my first "grown-up job" as a four-star hotel manager (the best hotel in Lafayette), I used gardening to channel my anxiety and stress. I would often show up at my parents' house with a ton of flowers to plant. After hours of getting my hands dirty, I would smile as I handed my mom the receipt, and she would kindly cover the expense. Gardening became my best therapy, and my mom's flower garden turned out beautifully!
Flowers have always been a part of my life. My wonderful husband, Tom, would bring me bouquets, and I would quickly divide the flowers, placing them in every house room. This way, I ensured our home was filled with beauty and joy. I spread happiness throughout our space by creating small arrangements in each room. As a fun fact, we gave away California poppy and lupine seeds as wedding favors!
